Jeremiah 18:15-17

¹⁵ For ^(A)My people have forgotten Me;
^(B)They burn incense ^[a]to worthless gods,
And they ^[b]have stumbled ^[c]from their ways,
^[d]From the ^(C)ancient paths,
To walk in bypaths,
Not on a ^(D)highway,
¹⁶ To make their land an ^(E)object of horror,
An object of perpetual ^(F)hissing;
Everyone who passes by it will be ^[e]horrified
And ^(G)shake his head.
¹⁷ Like an ^(H)east wind I will ^(I)scatter them
Before the enemy;
I will ^[f]show them ^(J)My back and not My face
^(K)In the day of their disaster.’”
